Students will be taught rituals and routines, behavioral expectations, and how to use the library effectively. Students will be taught how to access books using the DPS Electronic Catalog- LION (Library Information on the Net).

TEACHERS: Here Are Several Ways to Order Video/Multimedia Materials from Fox St. / ERS
We at ERS provide a variety of methods for requesting materials.
- Email a Request for materials to: vfl@dpsk12.org; please include the Item, Title and Call Number.
- Phone in your request to: 720.423.8119; include the Item Title and Call Number, as well as your full name, school and phone number.
Walk in Orders are also accepted. The hours are 7:30am – 4:00pm – Monday through Friday.
Book Baskets are also available from the ERS Classroom Resource Library on Fox Street.

There is a handout available in the Library that explains how to order other learning materials from Library Services on Fox Street.
The Art, Music and P.E. Library contain a wide variety of materials which are sent to schools to serve the needs of Art, Music and P.E. programs.
Teacher may also borrow materials from the ERS Professional Library which houses over 4,000 books for educators.

Intermediate Grade Teachers are encouraged to sign-up for Flex Library times during the Morning hours from 9:00 to 11:00.
This would be a time when the classroom teacher and Teacher- Librarian have collaborated on a lesson and or Unit of study. Flex time also provides library time for individual and small group instruction. These open access times are set aside for special projects, open library checkout and spontaneous inquiry arising from classroom instruction.

Congratulations to students who read books during the summer months.
You will have the opportunity to check out books from your school library very soon. Each student will have a library card which is kept in the library. You will keep your books for two weeks.
