Dear Castro Families,
We are excited for our Family Dance Night and Día De Los Muertos celebration on Wednesday, November 2 from 5:30-6:30. In preparation for that night all students will be spending the next week studying about the culture, history and traditions associated with Día De Los Muertos. Please be on the lookout for more information from your student’s teacher.
We are also inviting families to share their personal traditions and stories around their loved ones who have passed away and how you remember and celebrate them. Families are welcome to add to the displays students are creating or to bring items from their own traditions to display starting at 3:30 on Wednesday, Nov. 2.
Feel free to wear your traditional dress for the occasion as we will have prizes for family participation.
Mrs. Bishop and Mr. Renteria will be leading a fun evening of line and folk dances that students have been working on in PE and Music Class. It promises to be a wonderful evening and we hope you will join us! Please email or call Eve Ulloa (eulloa@dpsk12.net/720-424-8990), our community-parent liaison, with any questions.
Thank you so much for partnering with us around this celebration and dance night. We are excited to see everyone there!
